Work Placement
Work Placement is a fantastic way to enhance your classroom learnt skills. The Schools Industry Partnership facilitates Work Placement as part of our Structured Workplace Learning Program.Work Placement Online with Pathways Connect
Pathways Connect is an online system to manage Work Placements. Teachers can view the calendar and request a week for Work Placements. New Students can register and give us preferences and information so we can seek out the best opportunities for you, and create the legal paperwork you will need before you meet up with your Host Employer.
Special Needs Form
The Special Needs Form is for VET Teachers or School Contact to complete for any students who have special needs, and for whom extra attention or support needs to be given when the student does their work placement.
Work Placement Sourced By Student
The Work Placement Sourced by Student Form is used to collect the host’s information.
Class Feedback Summary Template
Half the workplacements we organise are fantastic, the other half are so-so. Without teachers faxing back our feedback forms we can't tell which are which.
OHS and Insurance
Work Placement students are not paid workers. As such their insurances are covered by the school system. Students are unpaid and inducted to industry OHS practices before being placed with you.
Student Placement Record (DET)
The Student Placement Record (SPR) is the main document relied upon by Department of Education and Training (DET) schools (commonly known as Government schools) and some independent schools to confirm Work Placements.
Student Placement Record (CEO)
The Student Placement Record (SPR) is the main document relied upon by Catholic Education Office (CEO) Diocese of Parramatta to confirm Work Placements.
More than Work Experience
The students we are seeking Work Placements for are actually studying your industry as part of their HSC. Students are looking to practice industry related skills beyond what is learnt in the classroom.
Work Placement Guides - Employer
"An Employer's Guide to Workplace Learning" is for secondary students in government schools and TAFE NSW institutes are produced by the Department of Education and Training (DET). This guide introduces the concept of workplace learning, the support available to employers and the roles an responsibilities involved in hosting students.
